ELEKTRON PLC

Elektron, the AIM quoted components group, announces that the Company acquired 150,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the capital of the Company ('Ordinary Shares') at a price of 16.8p per Ordinary Share through the market.

Following this transaction, the repurchased Ordinary Shares will be cancelled from trading on AIM. Accordingly, the reduced issued share capital admitted to trading to AIM will amount to 78,823,102 Ordinary Shares.
